Preschool FAQ's
What type of preschool is Rehobeth Preschool? Rehobeth Preschool is a church sponsored traditional preschool offering classes for 2 years through Pre-K.
What are your hours and contact information? Classes are from 9:00am – 12:00pm. We also offer a lunch bunch option until 1:00pm. The preschool office is open from 8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. We can be reached at 336.292-3405 or preschool@rehobeth.org.
Where are you located? Our address is 4475 Rehobeth Church Road, Greensboro, NC 27406.
What geographic area do you serve? Our families live throughout the county, with the majority living in Southern Greensboro and surrounding communities including Randleman, Liberty and High Point.
Which elementary schools do your students attend? Our students attend most area public and charter schools such as Southern Elementary, Alamance Elementary, Sumner Elementary, and Triad Math and Science Academy.
What is your teacher/student ratio? As a Safe Sanctuary facility, we have 2 teachers with students at all times regardless of the number of children in attendance. Our 2:12 maximum teacher to child ratio ensures individualized attention and instruction for all children.
What is your drop-off/pick-up procedure? Families are greeted by a staff member each morning from 8:55 a.m. to 9:10 a.m. at the main school entrance located at the front of the Family Life Center. Parents may use the drop off line or walk their child to the door. Children are escorted to their classroom by a preschool staff member. For the safety of our children, school doors remain locked during school hours. Should you need to enter the school during those times, please press the doorbell located to the right of the entrance doors. At dismissal, children are released to parents/caregivers in the car line. Each child receives an individualized placard for their car for identification during pick up.
What activities do you offer? In addition to normal classroom activities, Rehobeth Preschool provides students with Spanish instruction, chapel and Wednesday worship music time. We have a full size gym and a fenced in playground as part of our facility, assuring that children have many opportunities for gross motor play.
Do your students go on field trips? We do not participate in off campus field trips. We do bring several different experiences to our preschool throughout the year. Examples would be; fire station visit, monthly librarian visit, dentist visit, petting zoo, the Eco-Bus and much more.
Do parents provide snack/lunch? Rehobeth Preschool provides a daily nutritious snack consisting of at least 1 fruit and 1 starch. Parents do provide lunch for children staying for lunch bunch.
How do you accommodate food allergies? We do everything within our power to keep our children safe and healthy. If a child has a known food allergy, we make the appropriate accommodations in the classroom.
Tell me about your calendar. Classes start the day after Labor Day and continue through late May. We do coordinate major holiday breaks with Guilford County Schools. We do not observe GCS teacher workdays and are in session during those days.
When may I visit and/or register? Families are welcome to visit anytime throughout the year. An appointment is not necessary, but calling ahead will ensure the class you are visiting is attending that particular day. Feel free to call us or email us anytime with questions.
