Rehobeth Disaffiliation Fund
A “Disaffiliation Fund” has been created by the Finance Committee. This fund will receive contributions to cover the costs associated with disaffiliating from the United Methodist Church. The total cost to disaffiliate is $168,094. However, apportionments are part of the total amount and we have a portion of our 2023 apportionments already budgeted ($17,185). The remaining $150,909 will need to be raised through donations and fundraisers before July 1, 2023. You may mark your checks “disaffiliation fund” or you may use your online banking bill pay option and notate accordingly.
Fundraising progress will be communicated using visual signs located at church, email communications, newsletter, website, and weekly bulletins.
Also, we have formed a Fundraising Committee to discuss fundraising ideas in the near future. This team will make plans and share information with everyone. Our hope is to raise the needed funds if not, the Finance Committee will explore options for a loan or other ways to obtain the necessary funds.
