Lent Study: A Lenten Journey through Hymns and Songs

This study will use the book Unrevealed Until Its Season: A Lenten Journey with Hymns by James C. Howell (a United Methodist pastor in our conference). In this study we will explore how the poetry in the songs we sing illumine the words of Jesus and add color and life to God's story.
We will have two meeting options:
Rev. Howell's book includes daily devotions using hymn lyrics centering on the theme for each week. You do not need to have a copy of the book to participate in the study, but if you would like one for your own reflection, you can find it at Scuppernong Books here, at Amazon here, or at your favorite bookseller.
