Andrea Milton: Director
Andrea Milton received her associate degree in early childhood education from GTCC and is currently studying Human Development and Family Services (Birth-Kindergarten) with a concentration in African American Studies at UNCG. She recently completed course work in Admiration I and Administration II and is currently rated as a level II Administrator with the North Carolina Department of Child Development.
Andrea has worked in childcare for over 15 years, working with children ranging in age from birth to 16 years. She believes that each child is an individual and as an educator, she strives to value and develop each child’s strengths, interests, abilities and knowledge to extend their learning. She believes children should be given choices, responsibilities, and opportunities to initiate their own learning. Children need the assurance of being loved and cared for while they are enjoying an educational environment.
Teaching children is her passion. She feels security and trust are very important components as well as her relationship with each child.
She is married to John Milton III and they have 3 boys, Johnathan, Carter, and Mason.
